LIBRARY

The Robert Hollman Foundation has a rich scientific library in four languages (Italian, English, German, French) and a vast choice of specialised magazines and articles concerning visual impairment and multiple disabilities, as well as a great number of tactile books created specially for children with visual impairment.

Our books and magazines treat the following themes:

  • medicine, especially opthalmology, neonatal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, infantile neuropsychiatry, paediatrics, audiology, genetics, alternative medicine;
  • psychology and pedagogy, especially texts concerning the problems of the children we follow and their families;
  • rehabilitative interventions, especially early interventions and the activities proposed by the Foundation;
  • legislation relative to the rights of persons with different abilities;
  • equipment and specific auxiliary tools;
  • national and international conference papers;
  • statistics.

We also have a video library with cassettes in four languages concerning visual impairment and multiple disabilities.

This material can be viewed in the library by professionals working in this sector, as well as trainees and students for the purpose of research and/or degree theses, and also by the parents of the children in our care.

The library is located in our Centre in Cannero and is open from 9.00 to 16.30, Mondays to Thursdays, under the care of our librarian, Mrs P. Antoniotti.
